⭐ Insomniacs Rating: 6/10 THE SUMMARY Freddy Lupin is a pink poodle with the heart of a werewolf, and he’s still struggling to earn the respect of his pack. When he accidentally makes a wish that turns him into a "real" werewolf, he inadvertently summons a mischievous moon sprite named Moop. Now, Freddy has to balance his new form with the chaos Moop is causing back on Earth. It’s a bright, fast-paced animated sequel that leans heavily into the "believe in yourself" vibe, aimed squarely at kids who like their humor loud and their colors neon. THE PROS The animation is a step up from the first film, with some creative designs for the new characters and a more polished look to the world. It hits a 6 because the voice acting is solid, and there’s enough energy to keep younger kids glued to the screen for the full runtime. The addition of Moop adds a bit of fresh magic to the mix, and there are a few decent jokes that actually land without being too cutesy. It’s an easy, harmless watch that does exactly what it says on the tin. THE CONS It’s a bit predictable and follows the "sequel" playbook to a T. The story doesn't take any big risks, and if you’re over the age of ten, the frantic energy might start to feel a bit grating. It misses a higher score because the plot gets a bit messy toward the end, and it lacks the clever, cross-over humor that makes movies like Shrek or Despicable Me watchable for adults too.
