Arriving with nothing but a guitar and a head full of ideas, Dylan navigates the smoke-filled clubs of Greenwich Village, quickly becoming the voice of a generation. But as the pressure of fame mounts and the folk scene grows rigid, he makes a world-shaking decision to plug in and go electric. It’s a gritty, lyrical look at the moment folk music met rock and roll, and the young man who risked everything to change the sound of history. THE PROS This is an absolute win for music fans and biopic purists alike. It hits an 8 because Timothée Chalamet delivers a sincere, visceral performance, capturing Dylan’s mumble and restless energy without it feeling like a caricature.
