⭐ Insomniacs Rating: 3/10 THE SUMMARY Eli Roth’s long-delayed adaptation of the hit looter-shooter finally landed, but it’s more of a whimper than a bang. Cate Blanchett stars as Lilith, a cynical bounty hunter who returns to the absolute tip that is her home planet, Pandora. She’s hired by a corporate mogul to find his daughter, Tiny Tina, but ends up joining a ragtag crew—including Kevin Hart’s Roland and a mouthy robot called Claptrap—to find a legendary vault. It’s a neon-soaked, chaotic mess that tries to capture the game's "anarchic" vibe but ends up feeling like a dated, hollow imitation of *Guardians of the Galaxy*. THE PROS Cate Blanchett is the only real winner here; she brings a sincere gravity to Lilith that the script doesn't deserve, looking cool as hell even when the dialogue is a total clanger. Ariana Greenblatt is high-quality as Tiny Tina, injecting some much-needed energy into a story that feels stuck in first gear. It earns a 3/10 because the production design is honest to the source material—the guns, the costumes, and the dusty settlements look exactly like they were ripped from the game.
