⭐ Insomniacs Rating: 9/10 THE SUMMARY Guy Ritchie takes a swing at World War II with this loud, stylish, and incredibly violent retelling of Operation Postmaster. Henry Cavill stars as Gus March-Phillipps, a rogue military man recruited by a secret committee (including a young Ian Fleming) to lead a team of "ungentlemanly" outcasts on a suicide mission. Their goal is to sink a German supply ship in a neutral Spanish port and cripple the Nazi U-boat fleet. It’s a swaggering, bloody heist movie that trades historical accuracy for pure cinematic adrenaline, featuring a squad of killers who clearly enjoy their work far too much. THE PROS This earns its 9/10 and "Epic Status" because it’s Guy Ritchie firing on all cylinders. Henry Cavill is a total winner here, oozing charm and menace with a beard that deserves its own billing, but it’s Alan Ritchson who nearly steals the show as a Danish killing machine with a penchant for archery and large knives.
