⭐ Insomniacs Rating: 8/10 THE SUMMARY A visual feast that finally gave Neil Gaiman’s "unfilmable" comic the screen time it deserved. The Sandman follows Morpheus, the King of Dreams, who is captured in 1916 by an occultist and held for a century before escaping to rebuild his crumbling kingdom, the Dreaming. By today, April 24, 2026, we’ve already processed the bittersweet finale; the series officially concluded its run in July 2025 with a split-season release that saw the second and final volume drop on July 24. THE PROS Tom Sturridge is a total win as Dream, nailing that "ancient, moody emo god" vibe with a sincerity that feels 100% human despite the pale skin. The casting of the Endless siblings is a highlight—Kirby Howell-Baptiste’s Death is a genuine standout, trading the usual scythe and robe for a warm, sensible perspective that’s refreshing for a personified concept. Visually, it’s a gripping trip through nightmares and gothic architecture, and the final season took it to the next level by transforming south-west London's Strawberry Hill House into the mystical realm of Faerie. THE CONS It’s an 8/10 because the pacing can be a bit of a head-scratcher; the shift between different story arcs often feels like watching separate shows stitched together. While the anthology-style storytelling is true to the source, it can occasionally feel like a maze for viewers who want a more linear plot.
